Hey Hi friends I am glad to tell you that Green Carpet have organized 1 day trek to Jewel fort i.e. Ratangad on 14th July 2013 (Sunday)
Grade : Easy
Height : Approx. 4300 feet

Ratangad is a jewel of forts. From the top, one can get an amazing view of the entire Bhandardara region.One can catch a glimpse of Kalsubai, the highest peak in the Sahyadris, and Alang, Madan, Kulang etc.Ratangad at the top, has a natural rock peak with a cavity in it that is called 'Nedhe'; At Ratanwadi, one can see the beautiful architecture of the Amruteshwar temple dates back to Hemadipant Era.
It gives us an impeccable view of bhandardara dam.

One can catch Kasara semi fast local from their respective location on following timings on 13th night.
- CST - 10.45 PM
- Byculla - 10.52 PM
- Dadar - 11.00 PM
- Kurla - 11.07 pm
- Ghatkopar - 11.12 PM
- Mulund - 11.22 PM
- Thane - 11.26 PM
- Dombivli - 11.49 PM
- Kasara - 1.18 AM
People are requested to take tickets till kasara.

Note: Utmost care is taken to ensure safety of the group, however none of the leaders would be responsible for any kind of accidents.
Official Presence
- We ll reach kasara station by 1.30 am
- From Kasara, we ll go by Private jeep up to base village
- Start trek by 6 am
- Descend back by 4 pm (max)
- Reach kasara by same vehicle up to 6 pm (max)
Things to carry:
1. A bottle of water (2 Ltrs).
2. Lunch for the day.
3. Camera (Optional)
4. Snacks.
5. An extra pair of clothes.
6. A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking. Pls do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
